He is the 29th Sultan and Prime Minister of Brunei Darussalam, His majesty was the first child to Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien of the 28th sultan of Brunei. He was appointed Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He is one of the richest people in the world who owns more than US $ 200 billion.

HISTORY : 

1. Brunei has a constitution where in 1959 the sultan was the head of absolute state, executive staff, as well as in emergency powers since 1962.

On March 9, 2006, he changed the constitution of Brunei to make him fully (perfect) under Brunei's civil law but not syariah law.

2. Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah is the Prime Minister of Brunei and the head of the Brunei government. In addition, he holds the three ministers of the cabinet, namely the Minister of Defense, Finance Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. As Minister of Defense, he is the Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, as well as the British General and the Indonesian Armed Forces. He also held the post of Honorary Armed Admiral in the Royal Brunei Navy. He is also Inspector General of the Royal Brunei Police Force.

5. In 2004, the Brunei State Legislative Council, which was dissolved since 1962, was reopened.
